Collection 2005

The Fundació Antoni Tàpies presents a new selection of works from its collection.

On this occasion, works exhibited include, among other pieces, the series of drawings, Història Natural [Natural History, 1950-1951], along with a selection of representative pieces from all of Tàpies’ periods of artistic production, ranging from his matter works, created in the second half of the fifties and throughout the sixties (Forma negra sobre quadrat gris [Black form on grey square], 1960; Relleu amb cordes [Relief with strings], 1963) and his object production in the seventies (Cadira i roba [Chair and clothes], 1970) to the varnish paintings and fireclay sculptures from the eighties (Díptic de vernís [Diptych in varnish], 1984) and his paintings from the nineties and the new century (Parla, parla, 1992; 1/2, 2003). The exhibition will also show a piece donated this year by Antoni and Teresa Tàpies, Cascada (Cascade, 2004).
